Objectives and Scope of the Assignment

The primary objective of this assignment is to develop a website to increase visibility of the project and provide a platform for applications, knowledge management, and data sharing. Thus, this assignment is expected to: 1) Develop the project website, application portal and knowledge sharing platforms 2) Develop an online portal for REF Calls for Proposals to ensure transparency 3) Carry out maintenance and upgrades to the website / portal as per Project Management Unit (PMU) requests 4) Work with the Lessons Learnt Expert, Monitoring & Evaluation Expert, and the PMU to ensure the contents of the website are updated as and when new projects results / outputs are generated 5) Develop minigrids digital platform to collect data from minigrid pilots for Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (ME&L).

Consultant Competencies

The required qualifications and experience of the consultant are as follows: • An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • At least 10 years of relevant work experience across programming languages, website and application development and management. • Experience in working with the UN, and UNDP in particular, international organizations, and similar agencies would be an advantage • Clear understanding of - and skills for building and maintaining websites and applications • Previous experience in conducting similar assignments.
