Objectives and Scope of the Assignment

The primary objective of this assignment is to carry out lessons learned investigations for the duration of the project. Thus, this assignment is expected to: 1) Carry out annual lessons learned investigations for the whole project, including conducting field / project site surveys for tracking the indicators given in the M&E Plan and the Project Results Framework 2) Support the international consultants carrying out independent review of the project at mid-term (year 2) and end-of-project (year 4) 3) Support the development of a Replication Plan for project sustainability 4) Conduct project site visits, as and when required, to appraise project progress on the ground and validate written progress reports. 5) Support the project’s media data collection and documentary development

Consultant Competencies

The required qualifications and experience of the consultant are as follows: · An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) Economics, Finance, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related fields · At least 10 years of relevant work experience across monitoring, evaluation, or lessons learned investigations · Experience in working with the UN, and UNDP in particular, international organizations, and similar agencies would be an advantage · Previous experience in conducting similar assignment · Clear understanding of the techniques used for carrying out effective lessons learned evaluations
